Peter,
I think one of the most interesting facets of the present site is the technique contributions by various modelers. Some come as part of a larger build with a photograh shown but no explanation as to the techniques involved. This is just one area that needs expansion. Just take Scorpio's build and there's at least a half dozen techniques that could be expanded upon as an example point. I vote card technique as one of the continous columns. Applied card geometry is also suggested. The overall aim is to take classic geometry out of the formula and apply it to the creation of 3D card model. Card multimedia would expand in other areas that accentuate the paper base in refined creations. Card Photography technique and tips is another area that needs addressing. Topics suggesting simple, low cost techniques for bringing out the best of your creations. Card design would fill up an entire encylopedia but for the brevity of articles could run as ongoing articles. Hopefully these could be overlapped so as to present an overall treatise on applying the PC to the art of card modeling. Tips and techniques would be a big boon to those struggling with their first designs. Enough for now...., edit through, add delete or debate. Best regards, gil

I really like where this seems to be going .... as Ron has the space for the photos and discussion to happen and the main how tos can be the articles. Sounds almost more like a live E-book in the making. Never E-nding Story so to speak
.... ( Yes I didn't sleep a wink, coming up with that ) seriously though as I have, in my past, have had to do regular mailings and what not on the old BBS's. Keeping up with time constraints, you need to keep each segment small. this way they can be produced more often. and you will need support from those more experienced than the average as time goes on, we should be able to grow a larger mass of core people to make new stuff as all of us will become more experienced with many subjects. My 1 real sugestion is to first make a glossary of extensions and to post this as a first article also free programs or the programs list we will need to start being members in training. this will bring all of us up to speed and give you and us parameters of what and why. Where is already figured out and when happens after the what and why. |

Gil, Et Al
Apart from this post(for obvious reasons) I've stopped and waiting. 1)I've written a formal application to Ron, note Ron's post on being busy and as always, **his view of the big picture**. 2) Not sure that the News forum is the right forum to keep the thread running. |
