Leif, Tim,

This is an old discussion. Has anyone searched for this on the present site yet?

Gil, yes I searched in the obvious places, but turned up nothing, so presumed it was on the old site. My only excuse is advancing years. Two things happen as you get older, but I can't remember either of them....

Default Old West Models/free Covered Wagons Sample

Hi all;

I've been following the tremendous growth of paper/card models as a wonderful hobby over the last several years and decided to finally throw my hat in the ring by becoming a designer/electronic publisher myself of full colour, N/Z scale Old West paper model kits of 10 buildings plus extras.

Although I've initially launched on eBay, I will have a professional-looking website up and running by next Spring. In the meantime, I'm offering a great initial kit (for only $7.50US) which you can see on eBay if you look under "Old West paper models" in the model RR section.

As an introduction, I'm offering my FREE models here (PDF format) for anyone who's interested.

By the way, Russell, thanks for prodding me...

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

Hi,
I'm new to this forum, I have been building and designing papermodels for 35 years and I am a pc technician. I have recently been bitten by the download bug and also the highly detailed card models (I prefer wwi and wwii planes) I also am now trying to build and convert to micro R/C as the batteries and electronics and thrust ratios are "there" for purchase. I LOVE THE MODELS OF KANCHO, SERO-PAPERWARBIRDS, GREMODELS, HOBBY FACTORY, and PAPER AIRCRAFT WERKS! But I have had unfortunate issues with some. SO FAR THEY HAVE ALL BEEN GREAT AND ARE WORKING WITH ME! THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT! just info on MY experience: Kancho relatively quick download. Sero, day delays in purchase and download and currently I am waiting for them to respond to my most recent purchase, the downloads didn't work except for the assembly instructions...very disapointing. Gremodels the software doesn't seem to want to work with MY system. Michael is working with me and has already refunded my money, but I SO WANT TO SPEND MONEY ON THEIR PLANES AND BUILD THEM... I am trying one last thing with them. (hopefully it will work,) Hobby Factroy was fast download, but I am still waiting for delivery of printed model, US customs probably thinks its a bomb. . .Paperaircraftwerks was some delay but quick downloads. Fiddlers green, tho not as detailed, allways quick and easy and less then a day on any issue, I must own 60 percent of his models, wish they were more detailed, but I add my own. . .Those of you that design, GREAT WORK! The companies listed here I still love and will try, but I like downloading BECAUSE OF INSTANT GRATIFICATION. As the tag one of you always use, I WANT IT NOW! When my money is debited, I want the link to work and FAST! I wish some of these FANTASTIC COMPANIES AND DESIGNERS would invest in the PC part a bit more! Ok, I am getting off of my high horse now, just had to vent, I WANT TO BUILD SOME OF THE COOL MODELS MENTIONED and I gotta wait...oh well...

Modele Kartonowe sells hardcopy models (available from a number of dealers), but also offers free downloads of some pretty sophisticated designs.

Try the thread at http://www.cardmodels.net/forum/showthread.php?t=8174. It shows a build sequence for one of the Kartonowe free models (Polikarpov I-16). Nice model - nice build. I have most of their hardcopy models, being a sucker for anything rare and Polish. They are nice -- and more elaborate than the freebies. And I think some have English instructions and spare parts that you can download from the website.

DOWNLOADS had to be sent via PDF in email from Sero-Paper warbirds, A+ customer service I am pleased...Just wish it were faster...
Michael has been paitent at Gremir models. I had to make a 50 foot usb cable and load re load the models but IT FINALLY WORKED! I resent the payment via paypal! I wish the world wasn't such a place where the tech has to be put in to keep from stealing....WOuld been much faster. So, Update buy from Sero, Germir, aircraftwerks, hobby factory (Oh yea, still waiting for customs to release the delivery...its a shame that it should take so long to deliver a printed model from CANADA! It's not the stores fault tho. Kancho is great too. The best business method and Downloads still is Fiddlers Green! Wish the models were more detailed tho...oh well, great hobby You all are great people!
