Default PMI Buyer Beware

Purchased a couple of ships and was willing to pay a couple of bucks higher than average for kits and shipping (in US). To my surprise and dismay the kits are reprints from PMI (attached note stated they are authorized by Polish manufacturer to reprint OOP kits). No mention of kits being OOP or reprints on the website. No non-manufacturer reprints for me, quality obviously is not near equal. Just sharing my experience, good sale on PMI's part. Lesson learned.....end of transmission..changing freak.

Did you contact Lou about this? Which ships/original publisher are they?

If there's been a misunderstanding over what you purchased or thought you were purchasing from PMI, I'm sure it was unintentional on Lou's part. I've been buying from Lou since I got into this hobby several years ago, and I've never found him to be anything but honest, straightforward, and anxious to please--a true gentleman.

I've never had any problems with PMI and have been ordering from Lou for five years now. He is a very reputable dealer and is a pleasure to do business with. My recommendation is to give him a call and explain your situation. I'm pretty sure that he'll help you become a happy and satisfied customer.

I've placed 3 orders with PMI. All without a hitch, and even spoke to Lou once when he was being super helpful on quick shipping options.

My only beef with them is the somewhat haphazard web site arrangement, and not all models that he has are available to add to the cart - you have to write them in. But that's a MINOR nit, and since this is probably a 1 person operation (like I think most here in North America are), a person can only do so much.

I also called Lou when I tried to buy something, no paypal nor credit card on my part, and he was willing to help me with the purchase process. The model was a reprint, but high quality on paper and ink.

I also recommend to give him a call and make things clear.
