Default New Shipyards' HMS Alert 1777

Hello All,

besides building my models I also sell models Here comes something new:

HMS Alert 1777 from Shipyard

She will be available on Dec 15 2006, however I am already collecting orders for set.

This revolutionary set includes, masts, cannons, paints, and more. Basically all
you need to build the model without even going to shop again until finished.
The box is around A3 size with weight around 1.5 kg.

I have few other Shipyards' models as well, so you are welcome to check out my shop.

I would like to do business with you but your checkout process involves non-secure pages. I will not provide bank or credit card information to a non-secure site.

Thanks OldSalt

Check-out directs you to PayPal secure pages.
I am not collecting your credit card details at all. All is done via PayPal.
Another way is to make simple bank transfer to our account. So you can place an order and I will send you by mail our bank account and address. When we receive the funds, goods are shipped immediately to your delivery address.

I will gladly help you via email also.

Thanks for the assist in ordering! Just so the rest of you are not caught unawares like me, all payments are done via PayPal or bank transfer as stated above. The PayPal log-in page was in German but once I logged in it switched to my PayPal language (English). Payment is apparently through an outfit called Symbionis GmbH using PayPal. The tax amount that appeared on the ordering pages was not applied to my order. I assume it would be applied to purchases by European customers. Jerzy was most helpful in getting me through the order process and providing (much needed) reassurance that my bank account was not going to be emptied by evil-doers masquerading as paper modellers. Just waiting for 15 December now - the HMS Alert kit looks to be most interesting - perhaps showing us the future in our hobby?

Just wanted to share couple of pictures from the building report. Marta has placed the log on Polish forum, and agreed to share the pictures also on my web site:

It's a beauty so far! Some day I want to take the plunge back into a sailing ship as well (did some kit bashes back in my plastic modelling days).

Glad to hear.

Couple of things as I could see quite a bit of interest on the web site.

First few sets I have sent free of charge, but those charges that I tried to absorb were too high in the longer run, so I have to include postal costs. Sorry

postal charges in Europe are €14,50 and outside of Europe €21,00.

The box is not really heavy but to big to be sent as a letter therefore Austrian post charges that as a parcel.

I hope some of you will understand.

Hello,

Someone has pointed out to me the issue of VAT when goods are shipped outside of EU.
And thank you very much.
I was wrong

When I ship outside EU I do no have to add VAT.

I have changed the setup of the shop, so now during check-out it will simply not add VAT for non-EU orders.

HMS Alert 1777 in that case costs 115,83 euro + shipping.

For those who already bought and paid the VAT I will contact them to solve the matter as they clearly overapaid.
