Thanks guys!
I had to take some time out for myself.
One must maintain an equilibrium between work and play.

A few of the buttresses scored and cut, ready for the folding, painting and gluing stages...

Moving right along, I have started an assembly line where I paint all the exposed edges and the outer edge of all the tabs too as I want a clean finished look after the glue dries...

Finally the assembly stage...

Needing a small break I decided to knock out the stairs at both side entrances...

Next up the sides for each set...

This next shot is dedicated to Chris Gutzmer who is always making the same request, "How about a shot with a scale cube in there."
One of the side stairs on my See-Thru Cube, just before installation...

And here it is in it's new home, forever cemented to the church...

The other side looks pretty much the same so one picture should suffice.
I'll be back with some more a little later.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Looks marvelous. I've not seen many models that take the layered approach to this level, but the results are incredible, and well-built also to your credit - Thank you so much for sharing!

Your quite welcome!
I have made some more progress on this model and I will have to make a little time to upload the pictures soon.

The model is very close to completion and soon I will begin work on surrounding trees and landscape.

This model has been the most fun out of all I have done so far.
I have another copy of it and I think I will build it again, now that I have it all figured out.

Just a quick update, as it has been a while since I have been able to do anything on this church.
Life keeps getting in the way, so sometimes you have to make time, for your hobby.
If you find that you don't have time to model, make time. It will be worth it.
Even just 5 or 10 minutes is progress and it's very relaxing.

Anyway, on with the build!
I have finished the assembly of and installed all of the buttresses around the building.
Here is the left side...

And here is the right...

And then I cut out and painted all of the shingles which go on top of the buttresses...

and here we have the finished first floor! Yeah!...

That's all I have for now but there is still plenty to do, so, "I'll be back."

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.

Thank you Johnny, I'm glad you like!

I now have some major repair work to do on this one.
It looks like it has been through an earthquake.

I had it stored on top of a bookshelf, where I thought it was safe.
My dog knocked the whole bookcase over.
Doesn't it just figure.

All is not lost though. I am sure it can be repaired and the damages hidden but it will take some imaginative work.

Always something, eh?

Doh! That sucks. Hopefully you'll be able to clean it right up - it was looking so good!
