Default ID this!

I just found this pic on Google, it appears to be a half-tracked variant of the Opel Blitz. Anyone know bout it?

Build/design/finish list:LRDG Chevy, Bren gun carrier (Pretty much done, I'm gonna go all the way and make some variants of it) SdkFz 251/17 (not started, but should go relatively fast), Pz. II Luchs (turret done) more to come.

It is called the Maultier sp? Basically after dunkerque teh germans had a lot of the bren type carriers. They took the track drives and mated them to the blitz and other trucks, then used them in many utility roles. They have the 20mm aa guns sometimes they'd overload the truck beds and put the 37mm and sometimes the quad 20 mount.

As if it doesn't get more complicated, they sometimes used older panzer drives on them too, and I think the RSO drive and tracks, but still on the basic Opel/Ford/Mercedes truck beds.

Very much so. If you really want to get crazy, look at the Chamberlain book on Panzer 1 and 2 variations. I thought at one time that I could kitbash and build all the panzer variants, but got choked up after @ 6 1s and @ 12 Pnzer2s! Most of the variants were matters of up-armour or a stupid periscope vs cupola ring.

It's Sd.Kfz.3b with Flak 36 or 38.
