Mmmm.... that's a tough one.
Don't know but I'll guess it as French perhaps 1930s artillery tractor because: - The track looks like a modified FT-17 track with grousers and extensions. It also looks as if the track is being driven via the hinge pins like the FT-17. Oddly it looks like the track has had guide plates added for the narrow roadwheels. - The suspension looks like one of those between war suspensions designed by Citroen or Kegresse. - The hull doesn't look as if it's armoured which suggests something operating well behind the lines. Regards, Charlie |

Austro-Daimler Motor-Karette or ADMK for short. Six person motor carriage, built fom 1935 to 1938. There was also a version with tracks and wheels.

Those two machines dont even look similar....
Steering is in different location, box above the tracks in one, nestled between in another. How did you link the two together? (if you are correct anyway - I got no idea myself) Chris

Chris, if you look closely at the drive compomnents and bogie components they do look the same. Also the steering mech is @ the same location even though the wartime photo has a built up front "pasenger" compartment. A big differance is the tracks itself, it the 1st pick they definetly look Ft17, but the lower looks "standard" german WW2 pattern.

Thank you all, William

Put Austro-Daimler Motor-Karette into Google. (not that many real hits) also at http://mailer.fsu.edu/~akirk/tanks/ under Austria and it turns up as the Sd.Kfz 2. Cheers Maurice |

Cool links, almost makes me want to restart the TWM up again! "Teds Waffen/Munitions" or tankograd2. Years ago I modeled 1/76 WW2 AFVs in any medium, card (none survived), plastic, resin and metal. I still have over 100 built and another 100 in "cold storage" waiting for the bug to return! But must resist, have other card work to do!!!!!

Nice pics there too, turns out it took two different types of track.
