That's very odd. I would think this would solely be a weight and size equation.

I figured out the shipping price depends on the model itself. If I pick up an airplane, it goes around $6 to $7. However, if it is a military vehicle, the starting shipping cost starts from around $10. If I add one more vehicle, it goes somewhat double (this also depends on the model I pick). I found there is also a combination of models that the shipping charge is almost same as model price. For example, the models price was $30 and the shipping charge is about $30. Unfortunately, this combinatino is exactly the same one I wanted to purchase.... You may ask what the combination is.... Well, try these two models:

GPM M25 Dragon and Sharman Tank...

The shipping charge will be around $30 and the model price is about $30 so $60 for all together...I would rather wait until papermodelstore.com has a stock of those... Unfortunately, I don't know when.....

M25 Dragon is in A3 format so we have the size.
Looking at the photos on GPM site, this is one big and detailed model - we have the weight then.
I don't think there are special rates for specific models but the shipping is certainly dependent on the size and weight of the package.
Weak $$$ also adds to this pain....

FYI, I placed my order on 10/23 and it arrived today! That's just a week from Poland. I will definately look at using them again for stuff that I can't get here when the postage is reasonable!

Model-Hobby is also my favourite shop!
Model-Hobby can get all models. Not only from the WWII period but also modern vehicles. They are also specialized in finding rare and unique models that are out of print. So if you are looking for a special model, try Piotr at Model-Hobby!!
They really have fast service, typical around a week from I order til I have it up here in Norway

I have ordered from model-hobby.pl several times and the service is as good as it gets. On one occasion i ordered out of print GPM Avenger amongst other things. Few days later i received e-mail, saying that it's out of stock. I was offered to chose another kit for he same amount or refund. I think this kind of customer service is a nice touch to our hobby. On the down side, when i ordered vacform canopies, they were packed in a flimsy box and 2 out of 4 were squashed beyond useability during shipping...
