New design, I believe. I have the same ModelCard kit (#55) that you do.

I just received my copy today from Krys and I can say with certainty, that it is computer generated.
It maybe a redo of the old kit but it looks a lot better.

any leads?

and are there available laser cut parts for the frames?

I sent an e-mail to Krys several months ago and he is supposed to notify me when he gets the laser parts.
If you want copy of the model just email Krys and tell him. He will get it for you.
Whether it's listed or not, he'll get it if he can.
He's an outstanding guy.

By the way, this new SCUD is totally different than the old one, with maybe 10 times as many parts.

oooh laser parts...well that might cut out 1/2 of the 2 years I think you might need to build it....

I took the opportunity of SPI's clearance to pick this kit up. I have to say that, unlike most ship models, the formers weren't the part of this build that scared me. It was the complex assemblies for making things moveable and wire patterns, along with limited instructions.
For those interested - there are parallel builds going on here.
