Question Ebay Search Criteria

<Lurk Mode Off>

Hi,

I'm a regular ebayer and generally can find things pretty easily, however I seem to have a blind spot when it comes to card models.

I'd like to ask what searches others use to find these models, if anyone would be prepared to share...?

I've been using "card model*", "paper model*", etc. but I have so much garbage come up its untrue. I use the "-(revell)" form to remove this, but there's got to be a better way.

Regards,

Max

P.S. A few years ago I did a 1/48 scale Black Arrow R3 model, anyone interested?

Try going to the hobby category then start your seach with "card model" or "paper model" include quotation marks this will result in an exact match. For example paper model will result in all entries that include the words paper and model. "paper model" will result in all entries that include the exact phrase paper model. Another option is to enter the model manufacturer's name . . .

Default Ok

B-Manic,

Thanks for that. Now its stupid question time - Is HOBBY a specific Category in its own right, or is it a Sub-category? I ask because I've just done complete list of the ebay categories and can't see HOBBY.

Or is it because I'm on ebay.co.uk? Although I though that Categories where the same...

Regards,

Max

I would be interested in the Black Arrow, and probably a lot of other members here. If you are offering it, you might want to upload to the parts bin of the forum directory for everyone's enjoyment.

I though that Categories where the same... also. ebay.ca has 'toys and hobbies' and ebay.uk has 'toys and games'

card model <- link

Default Thanks....

Excellent!

Its wierd, I've been using quoted search phrases for all the other stuff I look for on ebay, but not for these ..... makes you wonder what's going on (or not) in my head ....
