Need help cracking some Ebay Heads

I would like to start or keep a thread of contacts of various retail and free kit designers so as to keep them notified when they are being ripped off on Ebay or other like online auctions.

So far pirates are selling whole collections on disc for less than a single model and face it... not only is it wrong but damn insulting.

Anyhow... please offer up any contacts you have with designers who are not on this forum. Remember you can help keep the streets clean by supporting the designers who provide excellent hobby product for us or we would not even be here.

Might I suggest modifying the e-mail addresses so bots can't see them?? i.e. "jsc at jsc dot pl" so that it can be read as an address, but not by a spambot.

I think its a great idea - how about we manage it in the WIKI so that anyone can manage the entire list and it wont be spread out through a whole thread. I can get the initial entries put in the WIKI - I will give it a bit to see if any more pop in here first though.

I think the Wiki is an excellent spot for this information as well.
It will keep it easy to find and arrange the information logically, even with further additions.
People would not have to read a 30 page thread to find what they need, in the future.

A list of the contact info is a great idea Stev0!

You can help yourself to the info for the Wiki fellas. My only concern is my ignorance of how it works and is compounded by the news I hear of people 'adjusting' information on it which may or may not be true.

I will endeavor to keep this updated as much as possible to assist with a 'community watch'. So far I have already had responses from IP owners in regards to illegal sales of their product.

The wiki keeps all copies stored on the server for every change. If someone plays with it and messes it up its a one click roll back.

I can take care of updating the page for you when I see you make updates here - a gentle reminder never hurts though

Is there an official way to report said ripoffs when you find one? I just found a guy on ebay selling kits from pretty much every major card model brand I've heard of... lots of them.

The best and fastest way to put a stop to this guy and people like him, is to contact the copyright owners and give them the url to the auction. and inform them of what is going on.
EBay will only stop the auction for the copyright holder.
E-mails move at near light speed so that is the fastest way to get them shut down.
