no pics???

trying to do a build thread and it will not let me add pics or links to pics?

tried the "insert image" that don't work ?????
tried the "insert link" and that don't work ???

how the heck do i get pics on here?

Two questions - what are the file sizes of the images? Also are you just attaching them or putting them in the gallery/other image host and linking to them? Very different in how to do it

i'm trying to add images .i can store them on my own server , and i'm trying to link to them in the posts..

thats the image link ^^

if i use the "insert image" all i see is a white square with a red cross in it.

get the same if i use the "insert link"

edited .... now the link is working grrrrrr

but the image is not in this post ???

try this
click reply (you cannot use the quick reply at the bottom of the thread, you have to click the reply button to get to the advanced window

on there click the yellowish square with the mountain,put in the url and enter it

hmmm, I dont think its gonna work. If this is your own site it looks like hotlinking is disabled.

The other option is to just upload it (or put it in the gallery here and use the links provided)
To upload directly you can do the reply to get to the advanced reply page then scroll down a bit and choose manage attachments and browse to the file...

I am trying to add pics to my posts and even after reading the above replies I am still getting nowhere.

I have pics in an album at SHUTTERFLY. When I try to link to a pic in the album it links the the entire album and I don't want to share the whole album.

Maybe it is their site or my ignorance. Any suggestions on a different site for uploading to?

Here are a couple of free places that allows hotlinking. They even provide the code for the image so all you have to do is copy and paste into the reply.
