Default Cannon's Longhorn Beetle

I haven't been doing very much card modelling just recently, but I did knock out this offering from Canon. I think it's common name is a Longhorn Beetle (but stand to be corrected). It's latin name is Batocera Lineoata.

Here is a link to the downloads - there are some other nice models there as well.

The model was quite easy to construct. I did cut off most of the tabs, and added secondary tabs to the inside, so I could get a neat but joint. I'm sure there's a technical name for this, but I'm not sure what it is !!

Here are my pics of the finished model.

Those are usually called joining strips.
