I would like to bring to your attention 2 great products from Dave Barron at Sierra Scale Models. These are the scale cedar shingles and scale glass. The shingles come in sheets that you cut to the scale you need and are applied 1 at a time. The results are great realistic looking roofs for your railside gems. The glass is easily cut with a special scriber that he sells also.It comes in 1" x 2" sheets-55 to a box for $5.99. Thats enough glass to do a ton of windows. It looks very realistic for modelling broken windows too. All of Mr. Barrons prroducts can be seen at Sierra Scale Models: Realistic* scenery supplies for model railroads and trains .I have included a picture of aCampbells kit I just completed using the shingles and the glass. Ron
