Interurban Car ID

Hello,All. Just a request for help identifying maker or type of this car...Harmony Short Line.jpg used on the Harmony Short Line interurban line from Pittsburgh, via Butler to New Castle, Pa. I'm not at all knowledgable about traction, but live near the old RoW and have considered modeling the car, if not the line. Haven't found much info locally or on line...any help would be appreciated. I know the excellent quality of folks on "The Gauge", and if there is an answer, it'll be found here! Thanks. Bob C.

The car in your picture seems to have all the essential features of the car in the photo above (baggage door on the A end, oval window near the B end).

The Harmony Short Line cars were built by the Niles Car Comapny.

I notice car 111 is equipt with a Pantograph in the center, it must have been used on a bigger system .

Hello, All ! Thanks, (bill937ca) Bill! My Googling wasn't nearly as rewarding as your references ! My pic came from the Pa. Trolley Museum. Lots of new info to pursue - am trying to locate some of these pics in my mental map of the RoW. Greetings, Chris ! Yes, have thought for some time this might be a tidy prototype. Have watched time and developement over-run the old line, but some evidence remains ! Must-at least- get a camera going before it's all gone. The PHB&NCRy had another associated line from Pgh. to Butler, Pa. on what may have been B&O's Cranberry grade - the Butler Short Line - one of the pics in Dave's site shows a car on that line with p-graph in use. The Bowser car is a good lookalike maybe a few too many windows but hey they are up and running for about $100.

Thanks, both Bill and Chris. Neat looking cars, Chris. There' one remaining example of these in the Pa Trolley Museum ,but it is ubder or badly needs resto work. Think these are sufficiently different in length and detail, may need a serious kit-bash or scratch. It's on my back burner for now, but maybe can get some info from the Museum on dimensions, and some more photos. Thanks for your help from the Frozen North Bob C.
