Talking Returning newbee

Hello everyone,
I finally had some time to say hello to everyone and introduce myself.
I am a long time admirer of all gauge trains but I do collect HO at the moment.
I grew up in the early 50's with American Flyers as my father used to drive their delivery trucks for about 6 years. At that time they used to throw out any defects large or small instead of trying to repair them so the dock man used to put the better ones to the side and give them to my dad when he came in at the end of the day.
We had more than a dozen engines and many cars and track collected over those years. Alas, we had a house fire in the early 70's and lost it all.
Anyway, I collect mostly New haven and surrounding states engine & rolling stock but no layout at this time. Last one I had was an N gauge setup that I traded for some nice New Haven items.
Looking forward to watching and jabber jawing on this forum now that I can.
Thanks for putting up with my long windedness, but it's a occupational hazard as I am a sales manager for a streetrod store here in CT and I like talking to people.
See you soon.
Pete

Hi Pete...Welcome to The Gauge..!! I'm sure you'll find a lot of friendly folks willing to help in whatever you may be doing, or just lend an ear for a little "jawing"...
