Default INSANITY at 1/480 scale ....

Tonight I had a raptus: I bought on ebay the new crawler scale 1 / 96 (I had already bought the LUT). Then I thought that I don't have enough space and that Alfonso has done a wonderful crawlers (1/144) and Jonathan has on its website the beautiful Saturn V / LUT by Mike B (1/480).
So I thought why not to reduce the Alfonso's crawler at 1/480 and try to see if I can build it?

Here some picture of this test.

The MLP is a fast build to verify the correct scale

The corner "B"

The Cabin ...

Two times insanity:
the first one the purchase of LUT & Crawler at 1/96
the second one to start this test and now to be forced to continue this challenging build.

It's enough for tonight.

Best Nando

Nando,

Wow, you beat me to the punch! I'm the Mike B who designed the Mobile Launcher on Jon's site, and had been contimplating doing exactly what you're doing, but hadn't yet found/made the time.

I can't wait until you finish so I can see what my version will look like!

Mike

Great build so far
Cannot wait to see the finished Crawler under the MLP & LUT...
I would need a pair of these for this scale crawler build!!

Default This night

Thank You guys for Your encouragements.
I need them to go ahead in this project.

I did some progress.

First I verified how to make the drive guides and pillars (I can't do everithing whit paper !)

Then I did the corner "A"

Then I started the first "truck"

It's very small

It's enough for tonight....

I'm trying to follow the Alfonso's istructions and to build every detail of the bigger model: I don't know how far I can go ....
... but each truck itself is a complex model

Good Night, Friends
