Default Traction in Brasil

I was fortunate enough to do some railfanning in Brasil ( my wife is Brazilian ).
We visited a well known touristic small town in Sao Paulo state : Campos do Jordao.
There is a tramway line that crosses the town and the schedule is about every hour and a half.
Once a day there is an excursion that goes a little further in the mountains.
