Default WALL-E wip.

Just thought i'd share with you guys what im up to.

Who is he??.
YouTube - Wall E

His in the early stages at the moment and I need to figure out how to rust him up a bit. Would love suggestions on how to do this in 'Paint shop'.

My Sketchup file makes a nice wallpaper don't you think (well I think it does ).

Someone's been tresspassing in my mind again!!! LOL

I was going to do that at some point. Very nice start, I can'y wait to see this movie, he looks so cool. I have some pics of him I could scan to see if they help with textures?

Cheers guys....

It's sods law skupilkinson,lol.

I would say I have every pic available of him that is on the net.
Guess what though, I just cant find a single clear shot of his backside!!!.
Also the font ive use for Wall.e is wrong, its close but the 'A' is way off.

I'm going to get as much detail down as I can in paintshop and then worry about dirting him up. He looks all fresh of the production line at the moment .

Ive tried grabbing stills from the HD trailer but keep missing lol, so unless you have a shot of it i'll just have to use the pause button a bit quicker.

Just a bit further along, i'll get some more done to day hopefully.

You're doing a great job on the textures. I don't have a back view of him I'm afraid.

Good job buddy.

Hey, I had a look in your photobucket album. Nice ABC War Robot!! Looks great.

One thing that caught my eye though was the Iron Giant render. Any plans for a model of him?

Ahh thank you.

The small Abc head (my first time casting resin ever) is a pet project I work on now and then.
I wasn't happy with a kit I bought off ebay so thought I'd build my own but bigger and with more detail. He will be just shy of 2ft tall when done, which wont be any time soon, Im not in any rush as I just want to be able to stand back at the end and go... Thats better!. .

The Ironhead bust was, is...ish a project I was going to do. I got sidetracked
by work while in the design mindset and just cant seem to get the enthusiasm back for this one.

If you want to take it on by all means do, i'll email you the sketchup files if they will be of any use to you. There are tweaks and changes that could and need to be made, but it's well on its way to being usable.

Heres a parts break down I was working towards...

No problem, Pm me your email and ill get them to you.

Yeah, it was going to be a bust and the base was going to be a rusted riveted girder type of affair with a name plaque.

I'm not familiar with Paint Shop, but it's fairly simple in Photoshop:

Here are a couple screen grabs of Wall·E's backside:

ooOOOooo!!, Trader Sam you are a star!.

Looking at the vid and those couple of images I can see that i've gone adrift on a few details and will need to fix them.

Im digging the rust, I can see him as Wall.E now...any chance of a little howto as I have access to photoshop at night school?.

I had an idea earlier just going to type it down here so I dont forget.

Print him out twice, keep one set as the build and use the other to add depth.
By that I mean things like the silver plate round his arm track. Cut it out and place on your build to add detail and more depth.
Anyone understand that?..lol.
