I've got a couple of threads going at Finescale Modeler and I'm wondering if anyone knows if either of these kits are available as paper models. I want to size them and make fiberglass bodies, so I can vac form a couple of bodies for RC cars. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
66 Ford Fairlane 500 WIP. - FineScale.com Forums 65 Ford Galaxie Rework! - FineScale.com Forums I just won an e-bay auto auction of the Galaxie and I used to race a stock 66 Fairlane, thus my interest in these particular cars. Thanks. |

Here is a very simple model of a '64 Galaxie:
kuumakyyti.com I know that there was a site selling car models with a better one. I think it was a freebie. I'll try to look for it. |

Thanks for both links.
Junior Johnson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia As stated here... 66-67 Fairlane Nascar top speed ? - FordMuscle.com Forums the 66-67 Ford Fairlane was also a favorite at NASCER, but had aerodynamic problems. This is when they started lowering the front end and raising the rear end to get more down force on the cars. This is where the "Taillights in the Sky" craze came from. Many of the boxy "Unitbody" cars were prone to this more so than the full-framed big-0blocks. I know, I used to race a 66 Fairlane at Gateway International Speedway. It was a "Stock Car" and I experienced the same lift problems. Between 90 and 100 miles an hour the body would litterally lift up off of the shocks. Thanks again. If anyone knows of one of these please let me know. |
