Need help with siren model NOW!

Hello again,

I am sick of trying to design this model. It is an Air Raid Siren. Here is a picture of it. http://www.antiqueweekend.com/x/arti...41/5HW41-3.JPG Can anyone help me?!

If the siren is to be relatively small, how about this approach: first break it down into three pieces:

(1) Base: two boxes, one mounted onthe side of the other

(2) Vertical suuport: two concentric cylinders, one wrapped around the center of the other.

(3) Horn: looks like it has two "inlets" (is that so?), I would simplifiy that to one, because two will be difficult to model in cardstock. If you want the horn flared, you will have to use a series of truncated cones (how many depends on how smooth you want the curve).

Unless the siren is going to be relatively large, I would do all the other details as surface graphics.

Hmm, Well, I tried that, and I wasn't able to get it quite right. Unfortunatly, I've lost access to the printer. So, I can't build as many designs now. :>/ Is there anyone who might have this design?
