whistle not working on Lionel 2046 tender

Whistle is not working on my Lionel 2046 tender. Opened it up and the wires are missing. Help!!

I don't know about your tender, but I wanted to take a moment to say welcome to the gauge! I am sure someone will be around here shortly to answer your question. Is there a way you can post a picture of the inside of your tender?

It should be a simple job, I had to replace the wries in my postwar tender this past year. What tender do you have? You still have the pickup rollers attached?
