There are TONS of these type things (keeping it clean here) being passed ad-infinitum around the net... And they all instill guilt, fear or caution. to basically good, caring people.....
I always recommend checking with Urban Legends Reference Pages "just in case". .....and no, your luck does NOT ever change for bad, or good if you don't forward e-mails to 30 of your closest friends in the next 34.786 seconds...... ............. i delete them before I read "That last paragraph" heheheheh

Oh... and by the way.. you ARE right about calling the DoNotCall line for your cell phones!!! but the reason behind it is the same as your regular phone....
It's better to have it on record in case some telemarketer dials a wrong number It's just better to be safe!!!

Been out today looking at refrigerators. The one I have is going on fourteen years old now. It may run for another ten years or may quit in the next ten days, no way to tell. Anyway, I found several that meet my requirements, are new and are below $400. It's always good to know where to grab a new one.

![]() Evening all. got one big tomato turning reddish. Lime in pond. Had meeting at Town Hall at 3 that messed up my fishing. Then off on a field trip to see a paved trail and over a mile of bridging over a wetlands. Got home in time to clean the lime out of the Crappie Jon. Then rains came. Sleep tight tonight.

Tom, if you have the time while in Camden, you may want to check out the Battleship New Jersey. I believe it is open as a museum now. Lots of history to that ship.
As to the cell phone thing and all the sending of messages, I rarely forward things. Just don't seem to have the time for it these days. I will occasionally check out things on "Snopes" just to check, but still, don't forward. Hope to get to trains tomorrow, but it seems more things get put on the agenda then I can get to. Anyway, hope everyone has a great weekend. PS: Doug, I got Kirk's book at Books-A-Million, but he has a site "Kirkcameron.com" that has it too. The site will have the autographed copies. I think I have enough autographs for now. Dennis |

I have an Aunt who used to send me one of those almost every week. I started sending back Snopes links. She still sends them out every month or so, but still thinks backward pin numbers, flashing headlights, forward a mail to fulfill a Make A Wish, et cetera are all valuable news items. I wish I'd been smart enough to archive them all just to see if a few years later the same one came through a second time

Wow, new visitors to the caboose coffee pot area. Don't remember yuz giz [that is Yankee language] visiting before. Glad to have you. Think I will go fishing instead of going to Todd's Train Depot. Got to spray veggies, trees and grape vines. New groundhog moved in to take the place of the one that met disaster.
This one is fast and runs to the borrow. I'll get him though.Have a good one.

Nice pic, Jeffrey - love that KCS. Well, scout trip was off, son decided at last minute he didn't want to go. We still had to pay them, though, since they bought supplies for him. Wife and mother-in-law are gearing up for a big paint job on the kids' rooms. I'm tasked to make some shelves for the bedrooms, so will get to play with mitersaw and router! I learned that the boy scout troop is not living up to expectations. The adult leaders are letting the older boys pick on the younger boys and call them inappropriate names, push them around, etc. I sent an email to the guy I knew from cub scouts and asked him to look into this. Wifey thinks my son wants to quit, but I don't know if that is the answer. I remember I loved boy scouts, but people are all different of course. Lots of work to do today since we are home, but I also want to do something with my boy to have some dad/son time.... Will have to think about it a little more. No rain today! Will rain tomorrow afternoon, so have to get all yard work caught up before then though! Hmmm - I wonder if my son would like to run a chainsaw? AR-AR-AR-AR!

Brutus:
never mind the chainsaw, why not teach your son - and the other scouts - how to make a whipstaff lathe - they'll thank you when the oil runs out. You can start with a treadle lathe, but it's not essential: Treadle Power (Boyslathe.pdf) Take a rope from a whippy branch or sapling and attach to the back of the treadle. The simplest whipstaff lathe takes a few turns of rope around the workpiece - there's no flywheel - just a rope from a basic treadle to a branch. ............... I never did introduce myself properly: I'm in my 60's, with wide interests: linguistics, computing and web security, trains, plastic modelling, trains, paper modelling, trains, industrial archaeology, trains, humor ... Here in the UK, we mostly model 00 scale, just to be controversial, but at least it runs on H0 track and wheels, so I hope that's acceptable to you guys. ![]()

Thanks Brutus.

I had to play with the print settings some to get them to exact scale. I used a plastic HO Scale container for a size comparison. To lock in the ink colors on them so they don't fade I spray them with Testor's inkjet decal sealer spray. You can fine it at Hobby Lobby.
