I'm not familiar with Atlas' turnouts in the smaller scales, but I did forego their use in my new HO layout as a result of previous experience. I understand they've improved since then, and it's also true that there are better turnouts to be had. So it may be a question of how deep your pocketbook is...
P.D. Is that Trinity, NM..?

I went with the Atlas Custom on most of my layout. I have a couple of Peco turnouts, but for the additional price, I personally don't see any difference. The peco are spring loaded, but I had to remove the springs when using them with Tortoise Switch Machines.

causing the wheels to ride up on the frog. A bit of filing with a nailfile(!) took care of the problem. I have heard of others having this same problem with some of the #5s but not on the #7s. I think that, overall, they are just fine. |
