I got this picture just north of Wampum, Pa in May, 1977. Conrail was using a bunch of CN MLW's at the time too.
Four big Alcos from two of my favorite roads - you just made my day.

Triplex, are there any of them still running that you know of. We still have some 4 axle Century models running and there may be a 6 axle still running on the Western New York and Pennsylvania, but there surely are a few more hidden somewhere. I loved the sound of that prime mover.

WNYP, last I heard, has a couple C636 and several M636, but I don't know how many of them run. D-L has a C636, a M630 and a M636.

Thanks for the reply Triplex. I hope I can still find one or two operating in a few years when I can travel.

On those roads, they'll probably still be around.

Last I heard, Minnesota Commercial also had an M636, but with a Cat engine.
