Default Great race cars

This is a new look for the Epson website. They've had these up for a while, but I think there are some new models here. I'll have to check out all the models. The originals I got are terrific - complex reverse-curves modelled carefully and with precision. If the current site lacks any of the originals, I'll get back to you to let you know.

Thanks for the heads-up

Graham

Default New for 2008

Okay - been looking through the site - some great new models, including the 2008 season Honda NSX cars:
And the Mitsubishi rally car:

Also some 2007 NSX cars that weren't there before.

All the original stuff is there still, from the car transporter right down to a laptop and a pair of gloves:

There's enough here to keep someone busy for months!

It makes for a very nice diorama when completed! I ended up winning best in my class as well as Best in Show at a HobbyTown USA model contest last spring.

And well-deserved, too.

Since I've knocked Epson elsewhere on the web, in the past, over their ink policies, it's only fair that I should take this opportunity to say a big
THANK YOU EPSON
for your generosity in making all of these fine models available as
free downloads.

Default Brilliant!

Bugman -

Superb! Well done. You've got me going now. I'll just have to make these! What scale do you think they work out at? (Wondered if any figures might be available for a diorama)

Hi, Graham.

The scale as written on the pdfs is 1:24.

They do make up into nice models, don't they?

Default Figures to go with diorama

OK OK - not card, but here are some good figures to go with a diorama of the Epson stuff:
http://www.rcdiscounts.com/acbhpusa/...ctGroup_ID=899
and here (way down the page
Revell / Monogram slot racing cars and parts - Mail order North America

Actually, I sort of got sidetracked into looking at slot cars while checking out figures. Takes me back! Didn't know there was still such a following, or such good trade support. (In the US, of course!) Excellent.
"People" to go with card models are always a problem. You have to resort to plastic, don't you?

Logicman is correct...the scale is right at 1:24. Mine is probably a bit smaller since I printed the pages on standard 8.5x11 instead of A4. There's a tad bit of shrinkage as a result. My models are closer to say 1:28-1:30 or so. Even at that scale, the tractor-trailer is about 28" long with the back door closed.

The diorama is about 4' length. The display is actually a raised shelf from a modular desk. I bought some of the anti-skid spray paint (like fine sandpaper) and painted the top to simulate a road surface.

I would highly recommend any of these models. All of them are very well engineered and make impressive displays when completed. It was a lot of fun watching the plastic guys carefully inspect it once I told them that it was made entirely out of 80lb cardstock. The look of bewilderment was priceless!!
