Toronto's John Street Roundhouse (railway museum) will be open to the public on May 24-25 as a Toronto "Doors Open" event.
I'm really looking forward to this. I've gone there during recent years (previous Open Doors events) but this year should be extra-special because TRHA members have made good progress at this Canadian railway museum. Not only will the turntable be functional, but there will be live steam models running outdoors (that you can ride on) as well as a model railway show inside the roundhouse. And, if it's like previous years, you should be have to enjoy free beer samples from the Steam Whistle Brewery! I'm planning to attend on the Saturday morning with my young sons and strongly recommend visiting this year. Here's a link to their website: Toronto Railway Historical Association Cheers, Rob

Sure, I'll take and post some! BTW, there are some good pics on their website as well. I also took some last summer when we walked around the grounds and saw some of the locos parked outside. I'll try to get some shots of the turntable and the outdoor live steam locos as well as the model train show. Cheers, Rob

Just a reminder that this is coming up this weekend. I'm really looking forward to it and hoping to go on Saturday morning. Cheers, Rob

I'll make sure I bring my digital camera and that its batteries are all charged up!
